Cumberland Council – Curator, The Beacon Museum
Cumberland Council is seeking a Curator for The Beacon Museum.
It is a local community museum situated on the Western Lakes District and they are looking for an independent, self-motivated curator who thinks differently. There are 4 permanent floors, two temporary exhibition galleries, plus a conference space that is used for education and pop-up events. The museum sits in the historic town of Whitehaven, and is at the heart of our community. It is owned and operated by Cumberland Council and works in partnership with providers to ensure it pioneers ideas of museum education, interaction and outreach.
They are a small team of experienced staff and volunteers and hold numerous events including storytelling, talks, lectures, exhibitions, education and fun activities for all.
