Collections Trust, Documentation in Practice Online Symposium
Collections Trust and the Museum Development England Network are working in partnership to deliver this online symposium focussing on collections documentation through interactive sessions and inspiring case studies. The emphasis will be on a practical approach to day-to-day collections management and there will be lots of opportunities to ask questions during the day.
Speakers are to be confirmed but the provisional topics to be covered include:
- Developing an effective documentation plan
- Reconciling temporary numbers during Inventory
- Tracing historic lenders
- Controlling location and movement during a collections move
- Auditing collections
- Managing the Object entry procedure
This FREE symposium is for anyone working or volunteering in an Accredited Museum or museum officially working towards Accreditation; those involved in day-to-day collections management and Trustees or senior managers who want to better understand collections management.
The Symposium will be held on Zoom.
