Carbon Literacy for Museums: Trainer Support Sessions

Carbon Literacy for Museums: Trainer Support Session

These sessions are designed to support people who have already undertaken Carbon Literacy to roll out training in their museums.

Who are the sessions aimed at?
These sessions are for people who work in, with, or for museums in England who are interested in delivering Carbon Literacy training. We advise that, where possible, two people from your organisation attend the course. They should ideally already be certified as Carbon Literate.

Priority for places will be for Accredited Museums and those Working Towards Accreditation in England that are not DCMS sponsored National museums or ACE funded National Portfolio Organisations.

What does the session involve?
The session will be delivered via an online platform and includes presentations, collaborative working exercises, and group discussion. A computer or tablet is recommended.

The session will introduce the Carbon Literacy for Museums Toolkit, learning aims, course content, planning and delivery mechanisms, as well as trainer scenarios and opportunity for questions.

The session, which repeats throughout the year, aims to build confidence amongst prospective and established facilitators, and support the development and delivery of training in your organisation or network.

Please note: Access to the Carbon Literacy for Museums Toolkit is enabled via licensing agreement with the Carbon Literacy Project, and their dedicated Culture team will support you with this process.
