MDE EDI Research Project Survey

You are invited to take part in an online survey which is part of a Museum Development England (MDE) research project looking at Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) training in the museum sector in England.

The objective of the project is to support and help MDE to develop new national EDI programmes for the museum sector workforce (including trustees, senior leadership/senior staff and volunteers), and we’d be very grateful for your input.  The research project is being delivered on behalf of Museum Development by Isilda Almeida (from the No Barriers consultancy).

The survey can be accessed at the link below:

https://online1.snapsurveys.com/rl4ib0

The survey:

  • Is aimed at museums, galleries and historic properties in England;
  • Is both for museums who have and have not undertaken EDI work;
  • Will take between 5 and 15 minutes to complete (depending on how much detail you include);
  • Is completely anonymous (if you choose not to include the name of your organisation).

Completing the survey:

  • We are asking for one survey per museum;
  • It is fine to discuss answers/have input from different colleagues;
  • It is not a requirement for it to be completed by members of the Senior Management Team or Board;
  • The survey will go live on Tuesday 27 August and will be open until 6 pm on Monday 30 September.

Please note that you can view the survey in full in advance via the attached PDF, but please also note that the survey must be completed/submitted via the online link.

For more information about the survey (including Privacy and GDPR), see the information on the first page of the survey.
